概要 | Descriptions：
日本のものづくり企業が持つ技術力や開発力は、海外からどのように見られ、どのような可能性を期待されているのでしょうか。
本セッションでは、日本のものづくり企業とオーストラリアのスタートアップによる最先端技術の国際共創プログラム「BEYOND MAKERS PROGRAM」に参加するオーストラリアスタートアップと国内中小製造業が登壇。
前半では、プログラムに参加するオーストラリアスタートアップが取り組む事業や技術についてピッチを行います。
後半のパネルディスカッションでは、実際に国境を越えた共創に取り組んできたオーストラリアスタートアップと日本企業の双方の視点から、「なぜ日本企業／海外スタートアップと組もうと思ったのか」「日本のものづくりのどのような力が海外から求められているのか」「実際に連携して見えてきた価値や可能性」など、共創の現場で得られたリアルな声をお届けします。
日本のものづくり企業が持つ強みを世界のニーズとどのようにつなげ、新たな事業や市場を生み出していけるのか。そして、こうした国境を越えた共創をさらに広げていくために、企業、行政、支援機関をはじめとするさまざまなプレイヤーがどのような役割を果たせるのか。実際に生まれ始めている共創事例をもとに、日本のものづくりが世界で活躍する可能性と、これからの国際共創のあり方を考えます。
How are the technical expertise and development capabilities of Japanese manufacturers perceived globally, and what potential do overseas companies see in working with them?
This session brings together Australian startups and Japanese small and medium-sized manufacturers participating in the BEYOND MAKERS PROGRAM, a cross-border co-creation program focused on advanced technologies and collaboration between Japanese manufacturers and Australian startups.
In the first half of the session, participating Australian startups will pitch their businesses and technologies.
The second half will feature a panel discussion with Australian startups and Japanese manufacturers who have been working together across borders through the program. Drawing on their first-hand experiences, the speakers will share candid insights from their collaborations, exploring questions such as: Why did they choose to partner with a Japanese manufacturer or an overseas startup? What capabilities of Japanese manufacturing are in demand globally? And what new value and opportunities have emerged through working together?
How can the strengths of Japanese manufacturers be connected with global needs to create new businesses and markets? And as we look to expand these kinds of cross-border collaborations, what roles can companies, governments, support organizations, and other ecosystem players play?
Through real-world collaborations already taking shape, this session will explore the global potential of Japanese manufacturing and what the future of cross-border co-creation could look like.

——AI・半導体、量子、GX、防衛産業など、17の戦略分野を手がかりに、各回一つのテーマをThursday Gatheringで深掘りするシリーズです。同分野に関わるプレイヤーと参加者がともに、現在地とこれから、そして新たなビジネスの機会を考える場を目指します。
第3回となる今回は、ゲーム、アニメ、映像、エンターテインメントなどの「コンテンツ産業」を取り上げます。
日本のゲーム、アニメ、マンガ、映像などは、世界中に多くのファンを持ち、国際的にも高く評価されています。政府は、日本発コンテンツの海外売上高を2033年までに20兆円へ拡大する目標を掲げています。
その実現には、優れた作品を生み出すだけでなく、IPへの投資、海外市場を見据えた企画・制作、流通・ローカライズ、ファンダム形成、収益の国内還流など、産業構造全体を捉えた取り組みが必要です。（参考：経済産業省「エンタメ・クリエイティブ産業戦略」 ）
AIをはじめとする新しい技術は、コンテンツの企画・制作・流通をどう変えるのか。日本ならではの創造性やIPを、どのように海外の市場やファンへ届け、持続的な事業価値につなげていけるのか。ゲーム、アニメ、映像などの制作・事業の現場を起点に、その可能性と課題を多様な立場から掘り下げます。
キーワードは、「世界で評価される」から、「世界で持続的に価値を生み出す」へ。

2025年11月、内閣官房を中心とする日本成長戦略本部が立ち上がり、こうした領域を含む17の戦略分野が示されました。「危機管理投資・成長投資」を通じて官民が連携して投資していく——その動きが本格化するなか、政策として語られる分野と、現場の事業や協業の接点の間には、まだ見えにくい部分もあります。
『JAPAN FORWARD - 成長分野 × ビジネスから機会を考える』は、17の戦略分野を手がかりに、各回、ひとつの分野をThursday Gatheringで深掘りするシリーズです。同分野に関わるプレイヤーを招き、いま何が起きていて、これから何が問われているのかをレクチャー・パネル形式で語り合います。

人類は今、宇宙旅行、民間宇宙飛行、月・火星探査など、新たな宇宙時代を迎えています。
これまで主に「宇宙飛行士の健康を守る学問」として発展してきた宇宙医学は、今後、宇宙で長期間活動する人々の健康管理や身体能力の維持だけでなく、民間宇宙旅行、宇宙居住、地上の医療・ヘルスケア、さらには人類の新たな活動領域を支える重要な分野となっていきます。
本セッションでは、宇宙医学、有人宇宙飛行、宇宙科学、宇宙ビジネスの第一線で活躍する専門家を迎え、宇宙で人間が安全かつ持続的に活動するために必要な技術や知見について議論します。
また、宇宙飛行前のトレーニング（Pre-Spaceflight Training）、人間の身体・精神パフォーマンス、AI・VR などの先端技術、国際連携などにも焦点を当て、宇宙医学が「宇宙での人類活動」だけでなく、「地上における人類の未来」にどのような可能性をもたらすのかを考えます。
日本が持つ宇宙科学・有人宇宙飛行・医療・先端技術の強みを生かし、日本とアジアがこれからの有人宇宙活動と宇宙ビジネスにおいてどのような役割を果たせるのかについても議論します。

As humanity enters a new era of space exploration and commercial spaceflight, space medicine is evolving from a field focused primarily on astronaut health into a key technology for the future of human activity both in space and on Earth.
This session will explore how space medicine, human performance, advanced training technologies, and international collaboration can shape the next generation of human spaceflight and space business.
Experts from Japan’s space sector and related fields will discuss the challenges and opportunities emerging from the expansion of commercial spaceflight, including human health, pre-spaceflight training, life sciences, and the development of a sustainable space economy.
The session will also highlight the importance of international collaboration and the role that Japan and Asia can play in shaping the future of human activity beyond Earth.
🚀 On October 1 at 8:00 PM, astronaut Koichi Wakata will join us in person at Venture Café Tokyo after returning to Japan from Houston!
We’re collecting questions you’d like to ask him in advance. Participation is completely optional!
- Can you actually sleep well in space?
- What’s it like eating in zero gravity?
- How did you feel when you saw Earth from space?
- What was the scariest moment you experienced in space?
- How did going to space change you physically or mentally?
- and anything else you’re curious about!

We’ll select some of the submitted questions and ask Mr. Wakata directly on stage on October 1.

日本のものづくり企業が持つ強みを世界のニーズとどのようにつなげ、新たな事業や市場を生み出していけるのか。そして、こうした国境を越えた共創をさらに広げていくために、企業、行政、支援機関をはじめとするさまざまなプレイヤーがどのような役割を果たせるのか。実際に生まれ始めている共創事例をもとに、日本のものづくりが世界で活躍する可能性と、これからの国際共創のあり方を考えます。
How are the technical expertise and development capabilities of Japanese manufacturers perceived globally, and what potential do overseas companies see in working with them?
This session brings together Australian startups and Japanese small and medium-sized manufacturers participating in the BEYOND MAKERS PROGRAM, a cross-border co-creation program focused on advanced technologies and collaboration between Japanese manufacturers and Australian startups.
In the first half of the session, participating Australian startups will pitch their businesses and technologies.
The second half will feature a panel discussion with Australian startups and Japanese manufacturers who have been working together across borders through the program. Drawing on their first-hand experiences, the speakers will share candid insights from their collaborations, exploring questions such as: Why did they choose to partner with a Japanese manufacturer or an overseas startup? What capabilities of Japanese manufacturing are in demand globally? And what new value and opportunities have emerged through working together?
How can the strengths of Japanese manufacturers be connected with global needs to create new businesses and markets? And as we look to expand these kinds of cross-border collaborations, what roles can companies, governments, support organizations, and other ecosystem players play?
Through real-world collaborations already taking shape, this session will explore the global potential of Japanese manufacturing and what the future of cross-border co-creation could look like.

第3回となる今回は、ゲーム、アニメ、映像、エンターテインメントなどの「コンテンツ産業」を取り上げます。
日本のゲーム、アニメ、マンガ、映像などは、世界中に多くのファンを持ち、国際的にも高く評価されています。政府は、日本発コンテンツの海外売上高を2033年までに20兆円へ拡大する目標を掲げています。
その実現には、優れた作品を生み出すだけでなく、IPへの投資、海外市場を見据えた企画・制作、流通・ローカライズ、ファンダム形成、収益の国内還流など、産業構造全体を捉えた取り組みが必要です。（参考：経済産業省「エンタメ・クリエイティブ産業戦略」 ）
AIをはじめとする新しい技術は、コンテンツの企画・制作・流通をどう変えるのか。日本ならではの創造性やIPを、どのように海外の市場やファンへ届け、持続的な事業価値につなげていけるのか。ゲーム、アニメ、映像などの制作・事業の現場を起点に、その可能性と課題を多様な立場から掘り下げます。

2025年11月、内閣官房を中心とする日本成長戦略本部が立ち上がり、こうした領域を含む17の戦略分野が示されました。「危機管理投資・成長投資」を通じて官民が連携して投資していく——その動きが本格化するなか、政策として語られる分野と、現場の事業や協業の接点の間には、まだ見えにくい部分もあります。
『JAPAN FORWARD - 成長分野 × ビジネスから機会を考える』は、17の戦略分野を手がかりに、各回、ひとつの分野をThursday Gatheringで深掘りするシリーズです。同分野に関わるプレイヤーを招き、いま何が起きていて、これから何が問われているのかをレクチャー・パネル形式で語り合います。

人類は今、宇宙旅行、民間宇宙飛行、月・火星探査など、新たな宇宙時代を迎えています。
これまで主に「宇宙飛行士の健康を守る学問」として発展してきた宇宙医学は、今後、宇宙で長期間活動する人々の健康管理や身体能力の維持だけでなく、民間宇宙旅行、宇宙居住、地上の医療・ヘルスケア、さらには人類の新たな活動領域を支える重要な分野となっていきます。
本セッションでは、宇宙医学、有人宇宙飛行、宇宙科学、宇宙ビジネスの第一線で活躍する専門家を迎え、宇宙で人間が安全かつ持続的に活動するために必要な技術や知見について議論します。
また、宇宙飛行前のトレーニング（Pre-Spaceflight Training）、人間の身体・精神パフォーマンス、AI・VR などの先端技術、国際連携などにも焦点を当て、宇宙医学が「宇宙での人類活動」だけでなく、「地上における人類の未来」にどのような可能性をもたらすのかを考えます。
日本が持つ宇宙科学・有人宇宙飛行・医療・先端技術の強みを生かし、日本とアジアがこれからの有人宇宙活動と宇宙ビジネスにおいてどのような役割を果たせるのかについても議論します。

As humanity enters a new era of space exploration and commercial spaceflight, space medicine is evolving from a field focused primarily on astronaut health into a key technology for the future of human activity both in space and on Earth.
This session will explore how space medicine, human performance, advanced training technologies, and international collaboration can shape the next generation of human spaceflight and space business.
Experts from Japan’s space sector and related fields will discuss the challenges and opportunities emerging from the expansion of commercial spaceflight, including human health, pre-spaceflight training, life sciences, and the development of a sustainable space economy.
The session will also highlight the importance of international collaboration and the role that Japan and Asia can play in shaping the future of human activity beyond Earth.
🚀 On October 1 at 8:00 PM, astronaut Koichi Wakata will join us in person at Venture Café Tokyo after returning to Japan from Houston!
We’re collecting questions you’d like to ask him in advance. Participation is completely optional!

- How did you feel when you saw Earth from space?
- What was the scariest moment you experienced in space?
- How did going to space change you physically or mentally?
