❏Thursday Gathering とは？| What's Thursday Gathering?
Thursday Gatheringは毎週木曜日16時-21時にCIC Tokyoで開催されるVenture Café Tokyoのフラッグシップ・プログラムです。多様なイノベーター達による講演やイノベーションを加速させるワークショップ等を通じて参加者は学びを得ながら、そこで得た共体験を梃子にネットワークを拡げることが出来ます。良きイノベーションの輪を拡げることを通じて、共に世界を変えましょう。
Thursday Gatherings are the signature events for Venture Café and will take place every Thursday between 4pm – 9pm at CIC Tokyo. Theevents will differ from week to week but will include lectures, speaker panels, and breakout sessions from a diverse range of industries. This is a great opportunity for innovators to be inspired, discover new opportunities, and connect with innovators.

これまでに、日本は、失われた30年といわれる長期的な経済停滞を経験してきました。この間にも多くの有識者たちによって様々な成長戦略についての議論がなされ、それが実行に移されてきました。数字の上では変化がなくとも、その中身は劇的に変化しているように思います。例えば、イエ電やポケベルがスマートフォンに、ワープロや巨大なデスクトップパソコンがハイスペックな小型パソコンに、紙の切符がスイカなどに、スーパーファミコンがプレステ5に、遅いダイアルアップ接続から圧倒的なスピードのインターネット環境に、対面での直接の面談からオンラインでの面談などにというように、数字的には停滞はしているもののその中身の変貌は劇的なものです。
しかし、思い描いているような成長軌道に乗ることがなかなかできていないように思います。なぜでしょうか。近年における数字的な経済成長は、グローバルの中での相対的なものであるように思います。日本でも劇的に変化はしているが、海外の他の国と比べてそれが平均的なものであれば、経済成長はなかなかできないように見えます。
シュンペーターは、その著書経済発展の理論の中で、非連続的な５つの類型の新結合、
- 新しい財貨の生産
- 新しい生産方法の導入
- 新しい販路の開拓
- 原料あるいは半製品の新しい供給源の獲得
- 新しい組織の実現によってのみ経済発展が起こる
とし、新結合を遂行する担い手がアントレプレナーであるとしました。そして、これは、現代にいたるまでイノベーションの理論の基礎を成し、日本の成長戦略においてもイノベーションが経済発展にとって重要な位置付けになっています。
また、今日におけるテクノロジーの進歩は、より数多くの非連続的な５つの類型の新結合をより速いスピードで生み出していっているように思います。
高市政権においても経済政策の司令塔として「日本成長戦略会議」が発足され、新たなテクノロジーであるAI、エネルギー分野のスタートアップ経営者や数多くのAIスタートアップを輩出する東京大学教授の松尾豊先生が有識者として参画されています。重点投資対象として、AI、バイオ、量子、宇宙、サイバーセキュリティなど１７分野が選定されてもいます。
そこで、今回は、様々な分野の行政、大企業、スタートアップ、大学教員のトップランナーの皆様にお集まりいただきまして、これまでの日本の成長戦略や何がダメだったのか、そして、テクノロジー・イノベーションを起点に、本当に日本を成長軌道に乗せるためにはどのような成長戦略が必要なのかをガチンコで議論していきたいと考えております。

安心してください、大丈夫です。
舞台演出家、ビジネスピッチトレーナーの三浦が、誰でも出来るように、簡単丁寧に大喜利の仕組みと発想のメソッドをお伝えします。
このイベントは、
前半では
「大喜利の基本的なルール」「答えを出しやすくするコツ」「場があたたかくなるリアクション」などを、初めての方にもわかりやすくレクチャーします。
簡単なお題を使いながら、誰でも一歩目を踏み出せるようにミニ練習を行い、「大喜利ってこうやればいいんだ」という感覚をつかんでいきます。
後半では、参加者同士で実際に大喜利にチャレンジします。
仕事から少し離れた、安心してふざけられるお題を使い、思い思いの答えを出し合いながら、うまくいった答えも、思い切り外した答えも含めて、みんなで笑って受け止める時間です。
この体験を通して、
• アイデアを口に出しやすくなる感覚
• 「こんな意見もありだな」と思えるゆるさ
• メンバーの意外な一面が見えて、距離が少し縮まる感覚
といった、これからのチームづくりにもつながる、やわらかい空気を味わっていただきます。

Heather is a globally recognized certified coach, facilitator and community builder with over 15 years of experience helping individuals uncover their true potential and align their actions with their dreams. Her diverse background includes working with executives, leaders and managers in large corporate and startup environments in multiple countries around the world to cultivate self-awareness, courage, and practices for success.
Highly experienced, Heather works with clients individually and in teams across a range of topics— from leadership, to burnout prevention and recovery, to major life and career transitions, to inner confidence and self-expression, to communication. She is also a trusted TEDx speaker coach.
Based in Hayama and Tokyo, she currently serves on the Board of Directors for Startup Lady Japan. In her free time you can find her practicing kickboxing, enjoying a delicious craft beer, or hiking in the lush hills of Shonan.
Erdinç Ekinci is a startup founder, venture builder, aspiring investor, and ecosystem leader, serving as Co-founder & CEO of Openfor.co and Director of Founder Institute Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. He empowers individuals to tackle major challenges through entrepreneurship and sustainable business building. He advises startups, enterprises, and governments on go-to-market partnerships and ecosystem development across the U.S., Europe, Southeast Asia, and Japan. Without external funding, he launched Founder Institute Accelerator in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, expanding its mentor network to 200 entrepreneurs and investors. At Openfor.co, he drives partnership-led growth, supporting enterprises and pre-seed startups. Having reviewed thousands of startup pitches, mentored 300 startups, and organized 100 events, he is now launching Co-Capital.co, a pre-seed GTM Accelerator VC, accelerating startup growth through partnerships.
Diya John is a registered counselor and psychotherapist with a Masters in Psychology and the founder of Therapy Garden, a practice built to make evidence-based counseling more accessible to expats, immigrants, and internationals navigating life in Japan and beyond.
Her path to mental health work is personal: she moved to Japan in the midst of the pandemic, faced her own experience with anxiety and burnout, and spent a decade in the corporate world before choosing to build something that could help others through the same terrain.
Therapy Garden exists at the intersection of lived experience and clinical practice, helping international communities conquer anxiety and build a meaningful life, wherever they are.

Dr. Motoshi Hayano is an Associate Professor in the Division of Molecular Biology of Aging at the Research Institute for Science and Technology, Tokyo University of Science, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Keio University School of Medicine. His research focuses on epigenome-mediated mechanisms of aging and their translation into healthspan extension.
He began his career at Kumamoto University studying spermatogenesis, then moved to research on DNA replication timing, earning his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo in 2011. After postdoctoral work at the Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Medical Science, he joined Harvard Medical School in 2013 as an HFSP Long-Term Fellow and JSPS Overseas Research Fellow in Dr. David A. Sinclair’s laboratory. There, he developed the ICE mouse, a novel model of epigenetic aging. He was appointed Assistant Professor at Keio University School of Medicine in 2017 and became Associate Professor at Tokyo University of Science in 2025.
Alongside academia, Dr. Hayano has extensive experience in biotechnology and entrepreneurship. From 2017 to 2024, he served as Chief Scientific Officer of Tsubota Laboratory, Inc., advancing medical devices and pharmaceuticals targeting the non-visual photoreceptor OPN5. In 2023, he co-founded One Genomics Inc. and Flox Bio Inc. to translate genomic and academic innovations. In 2024, he founded the ASAGI Labs Foundation and ASAGI Labs Inc. to accelerate aging research and its real-world application.
Dr. Hayano is committed to mentoring young researchers and building scientific networks, serving as Representative Director of ASG-Keio, Director of the Overseas Researcher Network, and Director of the nonprofit Chiron Initiative.

Thursday Gatheringは毎週木曜日16時-21時にCIC Tokyoで開催されるVenture Café Tokyoのフラッグシップ・プログラムです。多様なイノベーター達による講演やイノベーションを加速させるワークショップ等を通じて参加者は学びを得ながら、そこで得た共体験を梃子にネットワークを拡げることが出来ます。良きイノベーションの輪を拡げることを通じて、共に世界を変えましょう。
Thursday Gatherings are the signature events for Venture Café and will take place every Thursday between 4pm – 9pm at CIC Tokyo. Theevents will differ from week to week but will include lectures, speaker panels, and breakout sessions from a diverse range of industries. This is a great opportunity for innovators to be inspired, discover new opportunities, and connect with innovators.

これまでに、日本は、失われた30年といわれる長期的な経済停滞を経験してきました。この間にも多くの有識者たちによって様々な成長戦略についての議論がなされ、それが実行に移されてきました。数字の上では変化がなくとも、その中身は劇的に変化しているように思います。例えば、イエ電やポケベルがスマートフォンに、ワープロや巨大なデスクトップパソコンがハイスペックな小型パソコンに、紙の切符がスイカなどに、スーパーファミコンがプレステ5に、遅いダイアルアップ接続から圧倒的なスピードのインターネット環境に、対面での直接の面談からオンラインでの面談などにというように、数字的には停滞はしているもののその中身の変貌は劇的なものです。
しかし、思い描いているような成長軌道に乗ることがなかなかできていないように思います。なぜでしょうか。近年における数字的な経済成長は、グローバルの中での相対的なものであるように思います。日本でも劇的に変化はしているが、海外の他の国と比べてそれが平均的なものであれば、経済成長はなかなかできないように見えます。
シュンペーターは、その著書経済発展の理論の中で、非連続的な５つの類型の新結合、
- 新しい財貨の生産
- 新しい生産方法の導入
- 新しい販路の開拓
- 原料あるいは半製品の新しい供給源の獲得
- 新しい組織の実現によってのみ経済発展が起こる
とし、新結合を遂行する担い手がアントレプレナーであるとしました。そして、これは、現代にいたるまでイノベーションの理論の基礎を成し、日本の成長戦略においてもイノベーションが経済発展にとって重要な位置付けになっています。
また、今日におけるテクノロジーの進歩は、より数多くの非連続的な５つの類型の新結合をより速いスピードで生み出していっているように思います。
高市政権においても経済政策の司令塔として「日本成長戦略会議」が発足され、新たなテクノロジーであるAI、エネルギー分野のスタートアップ経営者や数多くのAIスタートアップを輩出する東京大学教授の松尾豊先生が有識者として参画されています。重点投資対象として、AI、バイオ、量子、宇宙、サイバーセキュリティなど１７分野が選定されてもいます。
そこで、今回は、様々な分野の行政、大企業、スタートアップ、大学教員のトップランナーの皆様にお集まりいただきまして、これまでの日本の成長戦略や何がダメだったのか、そして、テクノロジー・イノベーションを起点に、本当に日本を成長軌道に乗せるためにはどのような成長戦略が必要なのかをガチンコで議論していきたいと考えております。

舞台演出家、ビジネスピッチトレーナーの三浦が、誰でも出来るように、簡単丁寧に大喜利の仕組みと発想のメソッドをお伝えします。
このイベントは、
前半では
「大喜利の基本的なルール」「答えを出しやすくするコツ」「場があたたかくなるリアクション」などを、初めての方にもわかりやすくレクチャーします。
簡単なお題を使いながら、誰でも一歩目を踏み出せるようにミニ練習を行い、「大喜利ってこうやればいいんだ」という感覚をつかんでいきます。
後半では、参加者同士で実際に大喜利にチャレンジします。
仕事から少し離れた、安心してふざけられるお題を使い、思い思いの答えを出し合いながら、うまくいった答えも、思い切り外した答えも含めて、みんなで笑って受け止める時間です。
この体験を通して、
• アイデアを口に出しやすくなる感覚
• 「こんな意見もありだな」と思えるゆるさ
• メンバーの意外な一面が見えて、距離が少し縮まる感覚

Heather is a globally recognized certified coach, facilitator and community builder with over 15 years of experience helping individuals uncover their true potential and align their actions with their dreams. Her diverse background includes working with executives, leaders and managers in large corporate and startup environments in multiple countries around the world to cultivate self-awareness, courage, and practices for success.
Highly experienced, Heather works with clients individually and in teams across a range of topics— from leadership, to burnout prevention and recovery, to major life and career transitions, to inner confidence and self-expression, to communication. She is also a trusted TEDx speaker coach.
Based in Hayama and Tokyo, she currently serves on the Board of Directors for Startup Lady Japan. In her free time you can find her practicing kickboxing, enjoying a delicious craft beer, or hiking in the lush hills of Shonan.
Erdinç Ekinci is a startup founder, venture builder, aspiring investor, and ecosystem leader, serving as Co-founder & CEO of Openfor.co and Director of Founder Institute Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. He empowers individuals to tackle major challenges through entrepreneurship and sustainable business building. He advises startups, enterprises, and governments on go-to-market partnerships and ecosystem development across the U.S., Europe, Southeast Asia, and Japan. Without external funding, he launched Founder Institute Accelerator in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, expanding its mentor network to 200 entrepreneurs and investors. At Openfor.co, he drives partnership-led growth, supporting enterprises and pre-seed startups. Having reviewed thousands of startup pitches, mentored 300 startups, and organized 100 events, he is now launching Co-Capital.co, a pre-seed GTM Accelerator VC, accelerating startup growth through partnerships.
Diya John is a registered counselor and psychotherapist with a Masters in Psychology and the founder of Therapy Garden, a practice built to make evidence-based counseling more accessible to expats, immigrants, and internationals navigating life in Japan and beyond.
Her path to mental health work is personal: she moved to Japan in the midst of the pandemic, faced her own experience with anxiety and burnout, and spent a decade in the corporate world before choosing to build something that could help others through the same terrain.
Therapy Garden exists at the intersection of lived experience and clinical practice, helping international communities conquer anxiety and build a meaningful life, wherever they are.
東京大学大学院終了後、コンサルやスタートアップを経てアーティストへ。神経科学や認知症研究等の知見を背景に「意志の具象化」をテーマとした大規模作品を制作。ロンドン等、世界各地で展示や制作を行う。

Dr. Motoshi Hayano is an Associate Professor in the Division of Molecular Biology of Aging at the Research Institute for Science and Technology, Tokyo University of Science, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Keio University School of Medicine. His research focuses on epigenome-mediated mechanisms of aging and their translation into healthspan extension.
He began his career at Kumamoto University studying spermatogenesis, then moved to research on DNA replication timing, earning his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo in 2011. After postdoctoral work at the Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Medical Science, he joined Harvard Medical School in 2013 as an HFSP Long-Term Fellow and JSPS Overseas Research Fellow in Dr. David A. Sinclair’s laboratory. There, he developed the ICE mouse, a novel model of epigenetic aging. He was appointed Assistant Professor at Keio University School of Medicine in 2017 and became Associate Professor at Tokyo University of Science in 2025.
Alongside academia, Dr. Hayano has extensive experience in biotechnology and entrepreneurship. From 2017 to 2024, he served as Chief Scientific Officer of Tsubota Laboratory, Inc., advancing medical devices and pharmaceuticals targeting the non-visual photoreceptor OPN5. In 2023, he co-founded One Genomics Inc. and Flox Bio Inc. to translate genomic and academic innovations. In 2024, he founded the ASAGI Labs Foundation and ASAGI Labs Inc. to accelerate aging research and its real-world application.
Dr. Hayano is committed to mentoring young researchers and building scientific networks, serving as Representative Director of ASG-Keio, Director of the Overseas Researcher Network, and Director of the nonprofit Chiron Initiative.
