Japan and Austria share a common challenge: turning future trends into concrete action for small and medium sized enterprises. We Are Unicorns (WAU), a Vienna based innovation strategy platform, brings its Future Radar to Tokyo for the first time. It's a live, data driven tool mapping innovation opportunities across people & culture, digital processes & AI, customer experience, business models, and sustainability.
In this interactive session, founders, corporate innovators, investors, and researchers work directly with the Radar as a shared canvas. Together we identify which Austrian SME innovations could accelerate Japanese businesses, and which Japanese practices, from manufacturing precision to service culture and community building, Austrian companies should adopt. シュンペーターが、その著書、経済発展の理論の中で論じた新結合は、現在に至るまで、最も多くイノベーションの定義として用いられているように思います。シュンペーターは、その著書の中で、新結合の遂行者のことをアントレプレナーとしていました。つまり、イノベーションの遂行者のことをアントレプレナーとしていました。また、新結合によってのみ経済発展が起こるともしていました。
そして、シュンペーターは、その後の著書の中で、イノベーションが企業の中で日常業務となり、自動化、組織化されていくと、イノベーションの遂行者がアントレプレナーから専門家集団に移行していことになるとしています。イノベーションの遂行者がアントレプレナーから専門家集団へ移行することは、企業家精神、アントレプレナーシップの衰退を招き、イノベーションによって経済発展を起こさなくなるようなことが論じられています。つまり、アントレプレナーシップを持つ、アントレプレナーがイノベーションの遂行者にならないとイノベーションの本来の目的を果たせないのではないかと思います。
これまで、日本において、イノベーションの条件や仕組み的な議論は多くなされてきましたが、その担い手であるアントレプレナーがどのような者かやアントレプレナーが持つ企業家精神、アントレプレナーシップがどのようなものかについては、あまり、学術的にも実務的にも議論がなされてこなかったように思います。近年、ようやく大学などでもアントレプレナーシップ学部ができたり、アントレプレナーシップ教育が組織的に行われるようになってきていますし、企業などでもアントレプレナーシップ教育が行われるようになってきていますが、まだまだ、不十分なように思います。
一方、アメリカでは、バブソン大学などで、長くアントレプレナーシップが学問的に研究され、教育もされてきており、それが、アメリカの経済発展の一翼を担っているように思います。
そこで、今回は、アントレプレナーシップをテーマにしたいと思います。今、日本の行政、企業、教育機関など様々な組織の中でイノベーションが掲げられ、遂行されていますが、その担い手であるアントレプレナーが持つべき、アントレプレナーシップとはどのようなものであり、どのようなものであったら良いのかをパネルディスカッション形式で議論していければと思います。

本セッションでは、Japanese Women's Leadership Initiative（JWLI）が主催する女性リーダー育成プログラム「JWLI Bootcamp 2026 Fukui」の修了生から選ばれた3名が、それぞれの現場で向き合う社会課題と、その解決に向けた取り組みやアイデアをピッチします。
テーマは、ITを活用した聴覚障害者の社会参加、医療的ケア児とその家族が安心して旅を楽しめる社会づくり、そして若年層に向けた性暴力予防教育。
異なる社会課題に挑む3人の女性リーダーが、どのような未来を描き、どのように社会を変えようとしているのか。

『JAPAN FORWARD - 成長分野 × ビジネスから機会を考える』
——AI・半導体、量子、GX、防衛産業—— 17の戦略分野を手がかりに、各回ひとつのテーマをThursday Gatheringで深掘りするシリーズです。同分野に関わるプレイヤーと参加者がともに、いまとこれから、そしてビジネスの機会を考える場を目指します。
第2回目となる今回は、防災をテーマに開催します。
災害時、優れた技術やサービスがあっても、それを行政や被災地がすぐに使えるとは限りません。規制、調達、予算、データ利用、組織間連携――さまざまな「平時の壁」が、有事のイノベーション実装を阻みます。
本セッションでは、東京大学生産技術研究所附属災害対策トレーニングセンター（DMTC）の沼田宗純准教授を迎えます。
沼田准教授からは、DMTCにおける研究・教育・訓練や災害現場での実践を交えながら、こうした災害対応能力を一部の人の経験や突破力に依存させず、社会としてどう育て、再現可能なものにしていくかを考えます。
キーワードは、「災害時にイノベーションを起こす」のではなく、「災害時にイノベーションを使える社会を平時からつくる」こと。
スタートアップ、大企業、行政、大学、投資家など、それぞれが平時から何を準備し、どう連携すれば、日本のレジリエンスを新たな社会価値・市場へつなげられるのかを議論します。

In this interactive session, founders, corporate innovators, investors, and researchers work directly with the Radar as a shared canvas. シュンペーターが、その著書、経済発展の理論の中で論じた新結合は、現在に至るまで、最も多くイノベーションの定義として用いられているように思います。シュンペーターは、その著書の中で、新結合の遂行者のことをアントレプレナーとしていました。つまり、イノベーションの遂行者のことをアントレプレナーとしていました。また、新結合によってのみ経済発展が起こるともしていました。
そして、シュンペーターは、その後の著書の中で、イノベーションが企業の中で日常業務となり、自動化、組織化されていくと、イノベーションの遂行者がアントレプレナーから専門家集団に移行していことになるとしています。イノベーションの遂行者がアントレプレナーから専門家集団へ移行することは、企業家精神、アントレプレナーシップの衰退を招き、イノベーションによって経済発展を起こさなくなるようなことが論じられています。つまり、アントレプレナーシップを持つ、アントレプレナーがイノベーションの遂行者にならないとイノベーションの本来の目的を果たせないのではないかと思います。
これまで、日本において、イノベーションの条件や仕組み的な議論は多くなされてきましたが、その担い手であるアントレプレナーがどのような者かやアントレプレナーが持つ企業家精神、アントレプレナーシップがどのようなものかについては、あまり、学術的にも実務的にも議論がなされてこなかったように思います。近年、ようやく大学などでもアントレプレナーシップ学部ができたり、アントレプレナーシップ教育が組織的に行われるようになってきていますし、企業などでもアントレプレナーシップ教育が行われるようになってきていますが、まだまだ、不十分なように思います。
一方、アメリカでは、バブソン大学などで、長くアントレプレナーシップが学問的に研究され、教育もされてきており、それが、アメリカの経済発展の一翼を担っているように思います。
そこで、今回は、アントレプレナーシップをテーマにしたいと思います。今、日本の行政、企業、教育機関など様々な組織の中でイノベーションが掲げられ、遂行されていますが、その担い手であるアントレプレナーが持つべき、アントレプレナーシップとはどのようなものであり、どのようなものであったら良いのかをパネルディスカッション形式で議論していければと思います。

本セッションでは、Japanese Women's Leadership Initiative（JWLI）が主催する女性リーダー育成プログラム「JWLI Bootcamp 2026 Fukui」の修了生から選ばれた3名が、それぞれの現場で向き合う社会課題と、その解決に向けた取り組みやアイデアをピッチします。
テーマは、ITを活用した聴覚障害者の社会参加、医療的ケア児とその家族が安心して旅を楽しめる社会づくり、そして若年層に向けた性暴力予防教育。

——AI・半導体、量子、GX、防衛産業—— 17の戦略分野を手がかりに、各回ひとつのテーマをThursday Gatheringで深掘りするシリーズです。同分野に関わるプレイヤーと参加者がともに、いまとこれから、そしてビジネスの機会を考える場を目指します。
第2回目となる今回は、防災をテーマに開催します。
災害時、優れた技術やサービスがあっても、それを行政や被災地がすぐに使えるとは限りません。規制、調達、予算、データ利用、組織間連携――さまざまな「平時の壁」が、有事のイノベーション実装を阻みます。
本セッションでは、東京大学生産技術研究所附属災害対策トレーニングセンター（DMTC）の沼田宗純准教授を迎えます。
沼田准教授からは、DMTCにおける研究・教育・訓練や災害現場での実践を交えながら、こうした災害対応能力を一部の人の経験や突破力に依存させず、社会としてどう育て、再現可能なものにしていくかを考えます。
キーワードは、「災害時にイノベーションを起こす」のではなく、「災害時にイノベーションを使える社会を平時からつくる」こと。
スタートアップ、大企業、行政、大学、投資家など、それぞれが平時から何を準備し、どう連携すれば、日本のレジリエンスを新たな社会価値・市場へつなげられるのかを議論します。
