２００３年に、当時、ハーバード大学准教授であった、ヘンリーチェスブロウがオープンイノベーションを提唱して以来、世界、日本など国を問わず、大企業や中堅企業、スタートアップ、行政機関、教育機関など様々な組織で学ばれ、実践されてきました。その効果はファイナンシャルリターンだけでなくソーシャルキャピタルやヒューマンキャピタルなど多くの効果を組織内に生み出してきていますし、また、多くの企業発ベンチャーや大学発ベンチャーなども生み出しています。
しかし、一方で、近年、大企業などではその効果に懐疑的になり、オープンイノベーションの部署を無くしたり、縮小したり、また、予算なども縮小していく企業もあるように見受けられます。
成果をファイナンシャルリターンに置いた場合、大企業では、企業規模が違うこともあり、特にスタートアップとのオープンイノベーションによって、見合った売上や利益を生み出す事業を作り出すことは、なかなかできていないように思います。また、成果をヒューマンキャピタルやソーシャルキャピタルなどにおいて、オープンイノベーションを継続していくことは大企業などでも難しいようです。
他にもオープンイノベーションが効果的に機能する事業領域とそうでない事業領域があり、常に万能な手法ではないようにも思います。
そこで、今回は、最新の情報やこれまでの状況も踏まえ、オープンイノベーションについて、その目的、本気で新たな柱となるような売上や利益を生み出す事業を作ることが目的なのか、それとも社員教育の一環なのか、PRやその他のことが目的なのか、また、実行段階の課題をどうやって解消しているのか、規模が異なる組織間のコンフリクトをどうやって解消し、売上や利益折半、誰が目利きを行い、どういった企業とオープンイノベーションを行っているのか、また、自社の情報をどこまで相手に公開しているのかなど、さらに、どういった人たちがオープンイノベーションの担い手になったら良いのか、そして、どういった事業領域、企業とならよりオープンイノベーションが効果的に機能するのかなどを、オープンイノベーションのライトサイドとダークサイドの両面からガチンコでパネルディスカッションしていきたいと思います！！

生成AIは、映像・広告・アニメ・音楽・ゲームなどの制作だけでなく、IP活用、マーケティング、ローカライズ、新規事業、地域発信など、コンテンツ産業全体に変化をもたらし始めています。
一方で、日本企業がAIクリエイティブを実際の事業や制作現場へ導入するには、品質管理、社内体制、IP・ライセンス・契約、ブランドセーフティ、投資対効果など、さまざまな実務上の課題があります。

Holding a passion for cryptocurrencies, solar energy, and electronics in general, Garrett seeks to redefine the economic underpinning of society by establishing a new monetary unit that is based in physics, rather than government promises. His experience with crypto extends to building crypto mines in Japan, Sweden, and America, as well as being a co-signer of the Cardano Constitution.
Solar has also been a focus, as he has specialized in megawatt-scale commercial solar sites in Japan for about a decade. AI is additionally a major skillset of his, enabling him to reach into new domains like electrical engineering, radio frequency communication design, embedded system design, front and back end software development, mobile app development, cryptographic protocol development, among other specialties.
Heather is a globally recognized certified coach, facilitator and community builder with over 15 years of experience helping individuals uncover their true potential and align their actions with their dreams. Her diverse background includes working with executives, leaders and managers in large corporate and startup environments in multiple countries around the world to cultivate self-awareness, courage, and practices for success.
Highly experienced, Heather works with clients individually and in teams across a range of topics— from leadership, to burnout prevention and recovery, to major life and career transitions, to inner confidence and self-expression, to communication. She is also a trusted TEDx speaker coach.

Bryon Gibbens is the Co-Founder of EcoAI, bringing 14yrs of experience in the energy efficiency space to Japan.
He is currently building an AI powered IoT system for the hospitality industry focused protecting brand image, improving guest experience, and operational efficiency.
Riley organizes Tokyo Fail Club, a community gathering where diverse speakers from all walks of life share their real, vulnerable stories about failure and the lessons learned from it.

２００３年に、当時、ハーバード大学准教授であった、ヘンリーチェスブロウがオープンイノベーションを提唱して以来、世界、日本など国を問わず、大企業や中堅企業、スタートアップ、行政機関、教育機関など様々な組織で学ばれ、実践されてきました。その効果はファイナンシャルリターンだけでなくソーシャルキャピタルやヒューマンキャピタルなど多くの効果を組織内に生み出してきていますし、また、多くの企業発ベンチャーや大学発ベンチャーなども生み出しています。
しかし、一方で、近年、大企業などではその効果に懐疑的になり、オープンイノベーションの部署を無くしたり、縮小したり、また、予算なども縮小していく企業もあるように見受けられます。
成果をファイナンシャルリターンに置いた場合、大企業では、企業規模が違うこともあり、特にスタートアップとのオープンイノベーションによって、見合った売上や利益を生み出す事業を作り出すことは、なかなかできていないように思います。また、成果をヒューマンキャピタルやソーシャルキャピタルなどにおいて、オープンイノベーションを継続していくことは大企業などでも難しいようです。
他にもオープンイノベーションが効果的に機能する事業領域とそうでない事業領域があり、常に万能な手法ではないようにも思います。
そこで、今回は、最新の情報やこれまでの状況も踏まえ、オープンイノベーションについて、その目的、本気で新たな柱となるような売上や利益を生み出す事業を作ることが目的なのか、それとも社員教育の一環なのか、PRやその他のことが目的なのか、また、実行段階の課題をどうやって解消しているのか、規模が異なる組織間のコンフリクトをどうやって解消し、売上や利益折半、誰が目利きを行い、どういった企業とオープンイノベーションを行っているのか、また、自社の情報をどこまで相手に公開しているのかなど、さらに、どういった人たちがオープンイノベーションの担い手になったら良いのか、そして、どういった事業領域、企業とならよりオープンイノベーションが効果的に機能するのかなどを、オープンイノベーションのライトサイドとダークサイドの両面からガチンコでパネルディスカッションしていきたいと思います！！

Holding a passion for cryptocurrencies, solar energy, and electronics in general, Garrett seeks to redefine the economic underpinning of society by establishing a new monetary unit that is based in physics, rather than government promises. His experience with crypto extends to building crypto mines in Japan, Sweden, and America, as well as being a co-signer of the Cardano Constitution.
Solar has also been a focus, as he has specialized in megawatt-scale commercial solar sites in Japan for about a decade. AI is additionally a major skillset of his, enabling him to reach into new domains like electrical engineering, radio frequency communication design, embedded system design, front and back end software development, mobile app development, cryptographic protocol development, among other specialties.
Heather is a globally recognized certified coach, facilitator and community builder with over 15 years of experience helping individuals uncover their true potential and align their actions with their dreams. Her diverse background includes working with executives, leaders and managers in large corporate and startup environments in multiple countries around the world to cultivate self-awareness, courage, and practices for success.
