日本には世界水準の研究者がいます。優れた論文があり、革新的なアイデアがあります。しかしその知が、スタートアップエコシステムや社会変革に直結するケースはまだ限られています。研究と社会実装の間には、言語の壁、構造の壁、そして文化の壁が存在しています。その「翻訳」を担う人材と仕組みが、日本にはまだ圧倒的に足りていません。
本セッションでは、労働経済学の視点から女性研究者・リーダーの経済的インパクトを研究してきた第一人者、そしてスタートアップエコシステムのDEIとアントレプレナーシップ教育の実践者が集まります。グローバルな比較から日本のアカデミアの現在地を照らし、研究の知が社会実装へとつながるために何が必要なのかを問い直します。
女性研究者が持つポテンシャルは、なぜ十分に活かされていないのか。研究とビジネスの間で失われているものは何か。そして「翻訳者」としての役割を担う人材をどのように育て、つなげていくのか。
アカデミアの知を社会に解き放つために、今何を変えるべきかを議論するセッションです。
The knowledge born in research labs too often stays there.
Japan has world-class researchers and groundbreaking ideas. Yet the path from academic knowledge to startup ecosystems and social change remains narrow. Between research and implementation are walls of language, structure, and culture. The translators capable of bridging that gap are still in critically short supply.
This session brings together scholars and practitioners across labor economics, entrepreneurship education, DEI, and corporate health promotion to examine where Japan's academic ecosystem stands today and what it takes to move research knowledge into the real world.
Why does the potential of women researchers remain underutilized? What gets lost between research and business? And how do we develop the people who can bridge these worlds?
A session dedicated to asking what must change, to finally set academic knowledge free.

Ai Kawaguchi is Editor-in-Chief of NewsPicks for WE, a media project dedicated to supporting women's career development and advancing diversity and inclusion in the workplace. She holds a Master's degree from the Graduate School of Literature, Showa Women's University, and has built her career across leading media organizations including Shogakukan Creative and HuffPost Japan before joining NewsPicks Studios.
At NewsPicks Studios she leads new business development and oversees sponsored content production centered on video and media business, handling everything from planning and direction to facilitation. In the DE&I space she drives NewsPicks for WE, a weekly platform amplifying working women's voices and corporate diversity initiatives. She is an Official Columnist at Forbes Japan, a member of the TBS Radio Broadcasting Programming Council, and an advisor to the Yamada Shintaro D&I Foundation.

Yurika Doi graduated from the University of Tokyo's Department of Mechano-Informatics, Faculty of Engineering, before completing her Ph.D. in Neuroscience at Harvard University, where her research focused on mouse behavioral science and postural control. She joined tayo Inc., where she supports researchers in participating in and founding startups. Her favorite creatures are horses and mantises.
東京大学工学部機械情報工学科卒業後、ハーバード大学神経科学博士課程にて博士号を取得。専門はマウスの行動学と姿勢制御。tayo取締役に就任、研究者のスタートアップ参画や起業を支援する業務に従事。好きな生き物は馬とカマキリ。
木野ゆりか | 博士(薬学) 薬剤師、公認スポーツファーマシスト
日本生命保険相互会社 安心の多面体企画部 健康増進事業課長
名古屋市立大学大学院薬学研究科博士後期課程修了。田辺三菱製薬株式会社（現 田辺ファーマ株式会社）研究本部にて、創薬プロジェクトの立ち上げやリサーチリーダーとして神経活動測定全般に従事。
2018年より新規事業部門（デジタルトランスフォーメーション部）にて、ヘルスケアアプリの開発やウェアラブルデバイスを活用した臨床研究を牽引。全社のDX推進を担うPMOに加え、生成AI全社導入に向けたエバンジェリスト活動を通じ、組織のデジタル変革を主導。
労働組合中央実行委員として、治療と仕事の両立をサポートする制度導入を牽引 (がん治療・不妊治療含む)
2025年1月より日本生命保険相互会社に参画し、現在は健康増進・ヘルスケア領域における新規事業開発に従事。
